Manchester United to sign Carlos Tevez.

According to The Daily Mail, Carlos Tevez is set to sign for Manchester United.  Tevez has reportedly agreeded to join Manchester United last night in a permanent deal worth more than £20 million.
Subject to any challenge from West Ham, who insist that they still own the registration of the player who was instrumental in securing their Premiership survival last season, the deal will be completed next week.
If confirmed, the news from South America, where Tevez is with Argentina's Copa America squad, means that United will have taken their summer buying spree beyond £70 milion - making them world football's biggest spenders.

The Times also believes that 'Manchester United have won the race to sign Tévez'.

'It is likely that Tévez will move to United initially on a 12-month loan deal, with a fee of about £4million payable to Kia Joorabchian, the businessman who owns the economic rights to the player, and wages in excess of £3 million. Sir Alex Ferguson, the United manager, would also want the option of making the move permanent at the end of next season,' the newspaper reports.

If Tevez did sign, he would join United's other summer recruits in England midfielder Owen Hargreaves, Portugal winger Nani, Brazilian midfielder Anderson and keeper Tomasz Kuszczak.
