Carlos Tevez ready to take over Rooney role. He is expected to made his debut at Portsmouth on Thursday (AEST), replacing injury victim Wayne Rooney.

Sunderland manager Roy Keane has confirmed that he is interested in signing the veteran former Newcastle United and Manchester United striker Andy Cole.

The 35-year-old is without a club after being released by Portsmouth earlier this summer and Keane is looking to add him to his striking options before the end of the month.
