Chelsea Striker Drogba Reveals That German International Michael Ballack Made Wrong Choice By Leaving Bayern Munich

By Angel Fernandes on Thu, 2007-10-25

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba believes that his teammate Michael Ballack got his calculations all wrong when deciding to switch alliances from Bayern Munich to the Blues in 2006.

The German international came to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer from German side Bayern Munich, but his debut season was highly disappointing for him, as well as the Chelsea fans.

According to Drogba, Ballack has been struggling with the Blues and would have been better off had he chosen teams like Manchester United or Arsenal.

"It is hard for Ballack - Chelsea is special," he told the Sun.

"I'm convinced he would have had an easier time at Manchester United or Arsenal.”

"They benefit from a well-balanced team - he would have been a better fit there.”

"Here, we depend on our individuals so maybe Chelsea is not the right club for Ballack."

Dimitar Berbatov Reluctant To Open Talks On New Deal At Tottenham:

Dimitar Berbatov has reportedly shown no inclination to open talks on a new deal at Tottenham Hotspur, thus adding fuel to fire that the Bulgarian striker is unsettled at White Hart Lane.

The 26-year-old, who moved to Spurs in the 2006 summer from Bayer Leverkusen and proved his class in the debut season in the Premiership, still has more than two years on his existing deal.

However, the north London club are keen to tie him down to a longer contract to avoid interest from the rivals.

But with Manchester United being linked with Berbatov, who has reportedly fallen out with boss Martin Jol, there might be offers coming his way in the January transfer window.
